Register your business with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)

The Companies Commission of Malaysia or known locally as Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) is the statutory body that regulates corporate and business affairs in Malaysia.

To start your online business legally and valid in Malaysia, you will need to register your business with SSM. After figuring out which type of business you are going to run, you are required to proceed with the registration by submitting a completed Business Registration Form (Form A) along with a copy of your Identity Card, permit or supporting letters (if any), and the necessary payment. The registration can be done at the nearest SSM office or via their online portal. Upon registration, you will receive your Business Registration Certificate.
